tubem3

A YouTube client for a phone and a television, that tells you what it is doing.

tubem3 is a personal application. It reads one person’s YouTube subscriptions and shows them without an algorithm in the middle: the feed is the channels you follow, in the order they were published, filtered by rules you write yourself.

What it does

• Shows your subscriptions as a plain, chronological feed.
• Lets you write rules that hide or promote channels, titles and topics — and says which rule acted, and why.
• Plays through YouTube’s own embedded player, on a phone or with a remote on a television.
• Counts every API call it makes against your daily quota, on screen.
• Keeps a parental gate and a kids mode for a shared television.

Where your data goes

Nowhere. The application talks to YouTube directly, using your own Google sign-in. There is no server in between, no account with us, and no analytics. What you watch is stored in an encrypted database on your own device and is not sent anywhere.

Availability

tubem3 is not on any app store and is not offered for download here. It is built for its owner’s own devices. This page exists because Google requires an application using OAuth to publish a home page, a privacy policy and terms of service.
